Hi! I know I have been MIA for a while due to moving, but I’m back with a new mascara review! I purchased the Avon Love at First Lash mascara about a month ago. I’ve been grabbing for it over my other mascaras, ever since.
Avon Love at First Lash
Brush
The Avon Love at First Lash mascara features heart shaped lash fibers, olive oil, lycopene, and vitamin a, c, & e. The brush has plastic feeling bristles which apply the formula evenly. I love that I don’t get clumps with this mascara. I like wiggling it a little at the base then combing up smoothly through my lashes. My lashes look a little longer and more voluminous so they appear fuller. The Avon Love at first lash mascara looks best on curled lashes so that they appear longer. It still improves the length and volume of uncurled lashes, but mine just need more of a lift.
Formula
The formula is a smooth but slightly sticky consistency. It’s not as messy as wetter mascaras I’ve loved in the past (*ahem* Lancome Hypnose Drama). I still get some on my eyelids and under the bottom lash line, but it cleans up with a q-tip. I have not noticed any smudging with this mascara. Even on a humid day when I was sweaty and pouring beer at volunteer event, it stayed put. It also is light weight so it can be worn alone on a bare face. I appreciate this because I haven’t been wearing concealer and foundation as much.
Price
I feel Love at First Lash is a dupe for the Makeup Forever Smoky mascara. The feel of the formulas and application are very similar, although I prefer Love at First Lash. Only thing not similar, is that Avon’s goes for $12 versus Makeup Forever’s $23.
If you’re interested in purchasing Love at First Lash and don’t already have an Avon representative, you can buy it from my mom’s site 🙂
Have you tried any Avon mascaras before? If so which was your favorite?
