Curly Hair Product Reviews

I’ve tested out a few curly hair products lately and would love to share how I got along with them. Here are my latest videos of curly hair product reviews and the newest editions to my curly hair routine.

Novex Mystic Black

First up is the Novex Mystic Black collection from their my curls line. I received these products to test out and really loved how moisturized my hair looked and felt. I also enjoyed that all of the products had a nice scent and didn’t contain damaging ingredients. The shampoo, conditioner, deep hair mask, and leave in conditioner all contain baobab oil; it prevents dryness and brittleness from heat, chemical and physical hair damage. The only item from the Mystic Black line that I wasn’t too crazy about was the shampoo. Mainly because the shampoo didn’t leave my hair feeling super clean but also not as moisturized. My hair didn’t feel any different after washing with it, just eh. However, the rest of the Mystic Black line was very moisturizing and had great slip for detangling curls.

Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker

Next up is the Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker gel (affiliate link). I ended up purchasing this gel after seeing it in tons of instagram videos and pictures of perfectly defined curls. After also hearing recommendations from people in person, I dished out the $22 to try it out. I’m not a big gel fan because I don’t normally like crunchy or slimy hair. However, the definition and hold I get from the Curl Maker gel is worth it! My hair is very springy and healthy looking whenever I use it. I found that I only need a little to coat the hair; using too much can result in a crunchier texture. If you live in a humid climate like me, then you will benefit from using this gel. It has great hold without leaving your hair thin and stoic.

Have you used any of the Novex Mystic Black products or Camille Rose Curl Maker gel? Let me know in the comments below.
