Hey! Today we are sharing June’s, my mini poodle puppy, favorite puppy products. We share her favorite puppy training treats, wet food, chew toys, water container, carpet cleaner, nail buffer, grooming products and more! We shared all of the best puppy products in the video below as well as added more information.
Zuke’s puppy treats salmon & chickpea (affiliate link)
June loves her Zuke’s treats so much and they are perfect for training because they are only 3 calories a treat! We give her treats to teach her tricks and for using the puppy pad or grass when on walks.
Tiki Dog Aloha Petite Chicken and Shrimp (affiliate link) (variety pack with other flavor pouches)
These Tiki Petite treats are great right now for mixing in with June’s food. She is losing her puppy teeth as permanent teeth are growing in. It is harder for her to chew without some of her back teeth so these wet foods are easier for her. I believe they can be given as a standalone meal but I like to mix them. The Tiki Meaty High Protein ones that come in a small cup, I give to her alone though.
Puppy Chew toys with ropes, zebra & donut (affiliate link)
I purchased this pack of puppy chew toys before we got June because I had an Amazon gift card and was planning ahead. I’m really happy to say they are all intact from when I purchased them back in January. She loves and uses all of the toys so it was definitely a great bundle. The only thing I did not use was the weird bone toy that came in the pack. It was packaged in plastic but had a lot of dust and spelling errors on the packaging. I made the executive decision to toss it.
Nylabone puppy triple pack (affiliate link)
June still uses the pink nubby bone to chew. She likes when we hold it so it can get to her back teeth. She devoured the edible bone already and so far just picks up the white bone and leaves it places. I like the pink one for teething because she needs something softer to chew on while she’s losing teeth.
Auto Dog Mug (affiliate link)
This is a recent purchase after seeing a dog mom with one at the dog park. I love this doggy water cup for car rides because it doesn’t spill out in a cup holder. It also doesn’t waste water since you have to press the sides for the water to come up. June has become a little diva though and prefers her water out of the auto dog mug than from her bowl.
Resolve Pet Carpet Cleaner (affiliate link)
We have tried tons of pet carpet cleaners and the Resolve one is not only the best performer but also the cheapest! We’ve tried the fancier natural ones and ones that claim to keep your dog from peeing in the same spot. What we found was that those products didn’t keep her from marking and they didn’t clean the carpet as well but were in the $10-15 range. I highly recommend this cleaner for spot cleaning. Once June is completely house trained, we plan on renting a rug doctor to deep clean the rug and carpet. However, the resolve is great in the mean time.
Pedipaw (affiliate link)
I’ve had this Pedipaw for a long time now so it is pretty old and yellowed. I used it on my late cocker spaniel, Max. His nails were white and larger than June’s, therefore, I could just follow the instructions in the package. However, June’s nails grow hooked and are very small. When I first used the Pedipaw, it actually made her nails sharper! I found out that removing the guard/dust collector allowed me to rotate the filer up and back to buff her nails. It needs to come from under the hook and sharply come back in order to not make them little daggers. I’m happy I saved this so I could use it today and that it still works!
Well and Good Plantiful Conditioner Restore and Calm in Lavender (affiliate link)
At first we were only using the Burts Bees puppy 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. We found that adding the Plantiful Lavender conditioner left June smelling sooooo good! Also it helped smooth out her coat and I think it calms her. Since we blow dry her afterward, I want her coat to have as much moisture as possible. Kinda how I treat my own curls LOL.
Well and Good Plantiful Waterless Shampoo Boost and Bounce Spray in Jasmine (affiliate link)
I have to admit, this one is probably June’s least favorite but my favorite! She hates being sprayed with anything that has a strong scent but this is totally necessary for in between baths. Also, for those times when she has some crazy wet poop that requires 3 puppy wipes to get her clean, yeah that kinda freshening up. That’s where the Plantiful Waterless shampoo spray comes in handy because the Jasmine scent is so lovely!
Sentry Flea and Tick Shampoo in Hawaiian Ginger (affiliate link)
Recently, we took June on a trip to my parent’s house. She ran around the yard and undeveloped land a ton and had a great time. However, she ended up getting fleas. We weren’t ever told about giving her flea & tick treatments from the vet so I thought she was just too young for them or something. Now I know she can get the pill for them but we needed to get rid of the fleas immediately before it got worse. This shampoo worked wonders on her and was such a nice scent too! Just note it is very drying since it is flea medication so don’t bathe them with more than once a month. I plan on getting her the pill for the whole shebang once I go to the vet again. However, I don’t recommend those treatments that go down the back. We tried the Hartz one that was at Publix and it did nothing, absolutely nothing.
Captain Marvel dog shirt in Extra Small
I’m so happy that June enjoys wearing shirts! I thought this one was too adorable and since I love Captain Marvel, I had to pick it up. June doesn’t like having bows on her ears or even bandannas around her neck. My expectations were low that she would take to the shirt but she likes it! She even cried when I put it up in the closet one morning which shocked me. I think it keeps her a little warmer after her hair cut and we do keep it kinda cool in our apartment. I’ll have to see if she likes tutus next haha.
