This summer, I am determined to try new beaches in the Tampa area. This week I visited Treasure Island for the day. Treasure Island felt like a more relaxed, family beach with lots of local shops. Here is a quick picture diary of my day trip.
Treasure Island Beach
Since it was the day after a holiday, Treasure Island Beach wasn’t crowded and parking was a breeze to find. However, the meter pricing was a little odd. The parking lot is $2 per hour or $6 for 12 hours. Obviously, we chose the 12 hour option. There is a bathroom facility and snack station next to the parking area which is very convenient. The water was very warm and we could see small fish swimming near our feet.
After washing off and changing, we were starving and scoured Yelp for food. We found Britt’s Pizza on the app and walked over. Now, when I say they coal fire their pizza really fast, I mean fast. We ordered a Margherita pizza with sausage and the server came back 8 minutes later with our large pie. I was slightly worried about the taste because it was so quick, but it was delicious! Definitely recommend them if you are in the area.
Let me know which beach you think I should visit next in the comments!

Wow! That beach looks so gorgeous! I’ve never been there! I’m not much of a beach person myself! Have you ever been to Honeymoon Island??! I have heard that it is such a lovely beach! 🙂
I haven’t been to Honeymoon Island but I heard it is pretty and has dolphins a lot!
I LOVE Treasure Island Beach. But on a busy day, trying to find parking is a nightmare. If you don’t get there are dawn you’re in trouble. It’s still such a great beach, totally worth the early wakeup call.
Ahhhh see I knew we were lucky with parking because it was a week day! I’ll be sure to leave really early the next time we go on a weekend. 🙂
