Summer Beaches: Treasure Island

Treasure Island Beach

This summer, I am determined to try new beaches in the Tampa area. This week I visited Treasure Island for the day. Treasure Island felt like a more relaxed, family beach with lots of local shops. Here is a quick picture diary of my day trip.

However, the meter pricing was a little odd. The parking lot is $2 per hour or $6 for 12 hours. Obviously, we chose the 12 hour option. There is a bathroom facility and snack station next to the parking area which is very convenient. The water was very warm and we could see small fish swimming near our feet.

We found Britt’s Pizza on the app and walked over. Now, when I say they coal fire their pizza really fast, I mean fast. We ordered a Margherita pizza with sausage and the server came back 8 minutes later with our large pie. I was slightly worried about the taste because it was so quick, but it was delicious! Definitely recommend them if you are in the area.
