This past weekend, I returned to Tampa International Plaza for the bareMineral promotion that I mentioned in my last haul. Yoly color matched me with the bareMinerals Blemish Remedy foundation and concealer which contain salicylic acid to fight acne while you wear them. I purchased them along with the Tinted Mineral Veil as part of the Your Perfect Picks Face promotion; you pick any three face products and get them with a pretty pink makeup bag all for $62. Here is how I use them in an everyday routine.
First I cleanse my face and apply a light moisturizer. Today I used my sample of the bareMinerals Smart Combination lightweight emulsion as moisturizer, but I’m still testing it out. I then start applying the bareMinerals Blemish Remedy concealer in Medium to all my blemishes. I avoid the eye area because it contains salicylic acid; if I need under eye coverage I’ll use a different concealer but for everyday use, I don’t need it. Next, I blend the concealer with my Real Techniques pointed foundation brush (from the Real Techniques Core Collection). I love using this brush for blending creamy concealers because it works great around my nose and lips.
After my concealer is blended, I take my Real Techniques buffing brush (also from Core Collection) and pat on the bareMinerals Blemish Remedy foundation in Clearly Nude. I pat the brush around my face as you would do with a powder puff. This is to avoid displacing the creamy concealer that I just blended.
The bareMinerals Mineral Veil Tinted SPF 25 is the last part of my routine. I gently pat it all over my face as I did with the foundation. On days that I go running or am outside, I will wear just the Mineral Veil for the sun protection. I break out on my face to almost all liquid and cream sunblocks which is why I always purchase the loose Mineral Veil since it comes in SPF 25. I highly advise you to double check that the back of the Mineral Veil says Broad Spectrum SPF 25; one time, I accidentally purchased the one without sunscreen because it was in the wrong place at an Ulta. I wear the tinted because the original leaves a white haze on my face as it’s meant for lighter skin tones.
And here’s the finished look taken in natural light from my window. I just swiped on black mascara and mocha liquid lipstick. I really like the coverage of the bareMinerals Blemish Remedy foundation and concealer together because it looks very natural. And of course, I appreciate that it will help control acne.
