This is the first restaurant review for my site and I want to start off with saying, I just love the University of Central Florida area because there are so many restaurants that cater to college students. The variety is great but sometimes can be daunting when picking locations to try. Therefore, I’m going to review locally owned, or Florida owned businesses, that are in the UCF area! I want to find the best locations for those looking for that extra spark that national chains can’t provide. Keke’s Breakfast Cafe is definitely, just that!
Service
I went to Keke’s for the first time on Friday, October 25, 2013 at around 12 pm. For the busy lunch time period my wait time was only ten minutes for a booth. The server was very friendly and took my order right after bringing me my water with lemon. As I waited for my meal I noticed the how nice the booths were and that even the table top was granite. Definitely a very cleanly restaurant with wait staff cleaning booths immediately after patrons leave. The pricing is similar to IHOP but their meals are much fresher. They have a good variety of meals ranging from breakfast omelettes to lunch paninis.

Now for the important part, the food! I ordered the Apple Cinnamon Waffle and was more than delighted when it arrived and not just because the guy bringing it was a cutie. A fluffy Belgian waffle topped with apple pieces in a thick apple flavored syrup, loads of whipped cream, sprinkled with cinnamon, and small orange slice on the side. Syrup was placed on my table so that I could apply it to my waffle but the flavors were so sweet that I didn’t need it! I would never have thought to pair the orange with this already sweet apple waffle, however, I squeezed a bit of it on a piece and was surprised at how it made it even better. I can honestly say this is the best waffle I have ever had. I give them 5 stars out of 5 and will be returning to Keke’s Breakfast Cafe!
