How to Style Curly Hair

Naturally Curly Hair Styling
Hey Girls, you all requested an updated everyday curly hair routine and here it is! I don’t use a ton of products because this is how I style my curly hair daily. I also prefer for my naturally curly hair to be soft and touchable; therefore, I’m not as concerned as much with frizz as I am with texture. I’ve also included a video curly hair tutorial at the end of this post.

After washing and detangling my hair in the shower, I start to apply a moisturizing conditioner. You can use a regular conditioner, leave in conditioner, or even deep conditioner; just use what makes your hair feel the softest. I really like the Alaffia Beautiful Curls Leave in Conditioner out of many curly hair products because it is so lightweight but really moisturizes my strands.

Next, I detangle my hair with the paddle brush and spray the Shea Moisture Hold and Shine Mist liberally, throughout my hair. Making sure to get the ends in order to lock in the moisture. This spray contains water and coconut oil among other oils, therefore it can be used on dry hair as well. After the misting is over, I just air dry my hair and I’m good to go!

This natural curly hair style can totally be a wash and go if you decide not to use the mist at the end. In fact, I’m often pretty lazy during the busier part of my week and will just apply the leave in conditioner in the shower then get dressed from there. The shea moisture hold and shine mist can also be substituted for an oil, if you want more definition. If you’re reading this, please comment your Snapchat names so I can follow all my friends back!
