Guavate: Puerto Rican Cuisine

Guavate Chicken
Entrées
I went to a Puerto Rican restaurant for the first time the other day! I have to be honest, I had no idea what the difference between Puerto Rican and Cuban cuisine was before I arrived at Guavate. Now I can say that Puerto Rican food is, in my opinion, a fresher, healthier version of  Latin Caribbean food. I really enjoyed my dish which was the Pechugo de Pollo Salteada with green peas. The chicken was juicy and sauteed perfectly with the green peppers and onion! I also tried their fruity Sangria, and I must say this was one of the most delightful Sunday dinners I have had in awhile.

Service
The service here is great as they allowed me to try the green peas before I ordered it as my side since I wasn’t sure if I would like it. I have never had a restaurant go out of their way to make sure I would enjoy my meal as well as I did here. The only issues with establishment is that it is rather small so the tables are very close together while the meals are rather pricey for this type of dinning. All in all, I would give Guavate
4 1/2 stars out of 5 mainly because of the close quarters but I will definitely return!
